How to Create a Call Center Team Name

Call center work is pretty independent, but having a great team name can still motivate everyone to work together toward the company and department’s goals.

Create a great call center team name using the following tips:

  • Think about the terms and situations you encounter each day at work. You can keep your call center team name non-specific, using general terms related to the job (as we did with the team names on our list). Alternatively, you can make references specific to your call center, such as the office’s unique features or unusual protocol.
  • Brainstorm with your co-workers. Brainstorming will ensure that each team has a different name since you won’t want to have duplicates within the same company. It’s helpful to create a lot of name options by gathering a group and having a “meeting of the minds.” Your team members will also feel valued if they have input on the group name.
  • Get inspiration from your company. “Call centers” is a very general term to identify customer service hubs in various industries. To create your call center team name, think about the specific industry that your workplace serves and use words or phrases that identify it. For example, if you work for a health insurance company, you might want to use a team name related to the medical field or inspired by a medical TV show like Grey’s Anatomy.
